Gas Storage CZ switches to its own cloud-based ERP system SAP S/4HANA

Gas Storage CZ, the largest gas storage operator in the Czech Republic, has deployed a new cloud ERP system from SAP in cooperation with its parent company ČEPS. The modernization is intended to simplify the work of more than 200 employees, provide a more user-friendly user interface for the younger generation in the future, and enable faster responses to market and legislative requirements. The implementation was provided by FPT Czech.

“By switching to our own ERP system, we have strengthened our ability to independently manage key processes from finance to controlling to technology maintenance. Thanks to the cloud, we have a better overview of the data needed for key decisions in the company and can work with them practically immediately,” said Václava Nováková, Director of Controlling, Finance, and Risk Management at Gas Storage CZ.

According to the analytical company IDC, 43 % of companies plan to switch to a new ERP system by 2026. The main reasons are the desire for easier access to data, support for new business models, and higher return on investment. Gas Storage CZ is also responding to the need to quickly respond to changes in the market.
