New CFO of the Gas Storage CZ
Zbyněk Solecký takes up the position of CFO on the Board of Directors of Gas Storage CZ today. He succeeded in the selection procedure announced by the company's Supervisory Board with the aim of finding a candidate who has deep expertise in the areas of economic management, corporate financing and risk management. He takes over the agenda from Lubor Veleba, who ended his work at Gas Storage CZ on July 15. The company's Board of Directors is now composed of Pavel Moučka, Zbyněk Solecký and Tomáš Diósi.
Zbyněk Solecký graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University, worked in banking and then worked for 26 years in financial positions at Transgas, RWE and innogy. Until October 2024, he held the position of CFO and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the innogy Czech Republic Group. He has many years of work experience in all segments of financial management of companies, during his career he has been involved in significant mergers and restructurings of gas companies in the Czech Republic.
“I believe that knowledge of the gas company environment will allow me to quickly engage in effective management of the company from a financial perspective. Gas storage facilities are an irreplaceable part of the gas infrastructure and a guarantee for safe gas supplies for households and companies. At the same time, Gas Storage CZ is also a commercial company and as such must have a profit and expected financial value for the shareholder,” said Zbyněk Solecký.
