REMIT

What is REMIT?

Storage operators and market participants who use the gas storage services are under Regulation No 1227/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency (REMIT) and European Commission implementing regulation No 1348/2014 (REMIT) obliged to report data regarding the gas stock in the storage facility.

What data and how to report?

We provide data to ACER (Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators) for its virtual gas storage (gas stock amount, available storage capacity, etc.) on 7th April 2016  and is also ready to report data on behalf of its customers as market participants with respect to Article 9(9) of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU). All data is sent via GIE (Gas Infrastructure Europe - association representing the infrastructure industry in the natural gas business). Any data or information reported to GIE will be used by GIE exclusively for the purposes they are intended for and will not be used for any other purposes. Furthermore, the information will be transmitted using methods which ensure protection against third-party access.
